Vivi had extensive orthopedic surgery on May 19th on both legs and feet at the John Radcliff Hospital in Oxford by Mr Theologis who has operated on many of Vivi’s friends.
She had lengthening of the extensive hallucis longus tendon and of the Arcillis tendon and tibialis posteria. Moderate medial release to correct abduction and supination and split tibialis anterior transfer. (i have written this out for parents with ortho surgery coming up).
She was in casts for 6 weeks(pictured) these came off today exposing some very healthy wounds that were healing beautifully.
She has been able to weight bear since the operation and now in her orthotics but finds it difficult to walk or stand without the casts.
We have started some intensive physio to rebuild the strength and muscle in her legs once again!!
